Mukta Joshi a famouse kathak dance guru, coreographer and A grade artist of Doordarshan Mumbai, India living in Thane. MUkta Joshi is Member of International Dance Council CID under registration number 22861 for the year 2018Over last twenty years Mukta has been taking systematic training from her Guru Padmashree Roshanji. She is propagating Jaipur dance style in Thane and Kalyan. With this aim Mukta has founded Nrityadhara Kathak Research Institute Mukta has performed on the prestigious dance stages at Jaipur, Jodhpur, Allahabad, Lucknow, Delhi and Mumbai etc. Mukta has also presented dances based on novel concepts but she is always careful about not to cross the boundaries of tradition. Her experiments in Tribhangima, in which she presented artistic combination of three dance styles, and Jugalbandi of kathak and lawani won accolades. She has also worked as assistant choreographer for renowned director Shyam Bengal's film Saradari Begum.

She has founded Nritydhara which conducts different types of activities for promotion of Kathak and music arts of India, by conducting lectures, demonstrations, workshops and performances of senior and experienced artists. Nrityadhara also organizes programs of young and upcoming artists. Every year Nrityadhara celebrates it's Guru Paurnima Utsav a big dance festival and even the new comers are encouraged to present their dances.
